AVSolution was awarded the contract to install a state-of-the-art meeting and presentation room solution at the company head office in St Hellier Jersey. The room was to be used for round table meetings, theatre style meetings & presentations and being a global business, video conferencing.

The brief was to install a system that would meet all the client requirements for meetings, presentations and conferences, at the same time making it simple to use and keeping the equipment hidden when not in use.

The solution was to install a projector and electric projection screen for larger meetings and two 60" Plasma displays for video conferencing and smaller meetings - one of which has a Smart Board overlay fitted. All of the displays and equipment are operated by a wireless control system along with full control over the lighting and blinds.

The projector was installed on a motorised ceiling lift and the projection screen was flush-mounted into the ceiling, so that it is only visible when in use. The Plasma displays and the camera for the VC system were installed in a custom designed media-cabinet hidden behind sliding doors. All of the PC, Laptop, DVD, and Sky sources were available on the projector and plasma displays, with the video conference system only being available on the Plasma screens. The systems were designed to operate independently from one another but still be seamlessly integrated.
